The city's new Communications Officer, Jaclyn Bucik, has resigned.

She was only hired in June, and was tasked with expanding the City’s current internal and external communications program.

"I am extremely excited to be joining the City of North Bay at such an important time,” said Bucik in a news release at the time of her hiring.

She made public her resignation in an email yesterday.

"I am writing to let you know that Friday, March 31 will be my last day with the City of North Bay. I have enjoyed my time here and I appreciate having had the opportunity to work with you."

Neither Bucik nor Mayor Al McDonald offered comment on the abrupt departure.
