There’s uncertainty about what the province will allow for public gatherings and events this summer, due to the COVID 19 pandemic, but the Bonfield Event Park has announced a tentative schedule with high hopes such things will be allowed.

“Being one of the many small business owners and operators in the province of Ontario, the last year has been a tremendous struggle,” states a post on the Bonfield Event Park Facebook Group page. “Dealing with the restrictions of a global pandemic has not been easy to say the least.

“…The Ministry is trying to develop a roll out plan for 2021, it is expected in April. The local public health units are taking the lead in the protocols and governance of our industry. At this time, they have not communicated what the summer season of 2021 will be,” the post explained.

“…If there is any chance at all that our events are allowed to proceed, rest assured, the show will go on.”
Tentative ‘Test and Tunes’ and drag races are 2021: May 21-24 T&T; June 11-13 T&T; July 9-11 T&T; July 23-25 T&T; August 6-8 T&T; August 20-22 T&T and the Fall Classic September 24 -26.

“The above dates are listed as ‘Test & Tunes’ except for the September race weekend. If regulations permit, the Test & Tunes will have to opportunity to develop into race weekends,” it states.

Tentative dates for the Barrie & Bonfield Automotive Flea Markets are: Spring Barrie June 3-6, Bonfield June 18-20 and Fall Barrie September 9-12.
