An inattentive driver is charged after a collision between an SUV and a North Bay ambulance.

At approximately 12:55 p.m., on Saturday, November 24, North Bay OPP officers were called to a motor vehicle collision at Algonquin Avenue and McKeown Avenue between an SUV and an ambulance.

"The ambulance stopped at the red light with its lights and siren activated," said Constable Shona Camirand. "It then slowly proceeded through the intersection. An SUV went through the intersection and struck the back end of the passenger side of the ambulance. The ambulance slid across the lane striking a pole. The ambulance had four passengers in the rear including a patient."
