SUV driven into 'apparent sinkhole' (2 photos)

Police say no one was injured

Word to the wise. Be careful when driving through a big puddle.

That's because a northern motorist found out the hard way.

A Timmins driver got more than he or she bargained for driving into a puddle early Tuesday morning.

Instead of a puddle, the driver of a Toyota Venza found an "apparent sinkhole" on Bonaventure Drive, said Timmins Police.

Timmins Police say no one was injured, but there is some significant damage to the vehicle.

"City crews are hard at the job of repairing the roadway," said police.

TimminsToday reached out to the city for more details, however, no further details were provided.

The bizarre sinkhole accident garnered attention on national morning news programs on Wednesday morning.
