Suspicious death in Eldee

The man was discovered in an Eldee home Sunday morning, and there were no vital signs.

Officers from the OPP North Bay Detachment were dispatched to the residence after receiving information from the Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The coroner was contacted and attended the residence on Hwy 63, Poitras Twp., and pronounced the male deceased.

Investigators are treating this death as suspicious. The OPP North Bay Crime Unit and Identification Unit were called in and the identity of the deceased male is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.

The body will be transported to the Office of the Chief Coroner, and the North Bay Detachment officers are continuing their investigation under the direction of Detective Inspector Bob Lemieux, Criminal Investigation Branch.
