Barry MacIntosh, a suspended North Bay Police Constable, pled guilty today to one count of discreditable conduct at a North Bay Police Services hearing which took place at the Hampton Inn.

MacIntosh made the plea during a short proceeding that originally was set to take place at 10 a.m. but wrapped up around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

Leo A. Kinahan, who represented the defence, and prosecutor David Migicovsky met throughout the morning before the proceedings began shortly after 2 p.m.

MacIntosh made the guilty plea to Hearing Officer Inspector David Bishop from the Waterloo Regional Police around 2:20 p.m.

A conference call will be scheduled to determine the punishment under the Police Services Act.

In August of 2016, MacIntosh was found guilty of one of the two assault charges he was facing after an appeal of a March 2014 trial which saw MacIntosh cleared of all charges.
