Drinking before turning yourself in to police didn't turn out to be such a good idea for a Sudbury man over the weekend.
On September 11, at 5 p.m. the Sudbury OPP Detachment had a suspect arrive at the building on Highway 69.
Police were conducting an investigation of the removal of a personal watercraft, utility terrain vehicle, and an all-terrain vehicle from a property on Nepewassi Lake Road, Markstay-Warren.
The incident was reported to the police the day before.
While speaking to the suspect, police determined him to be impaired by alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, Brock Woito, 20, from Sudbury, was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Three counts of taking a motor vehicle without consent
Woito was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on October 27 in Sudbury.
