MACHAR TWP - The Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting a R.I.D.E. program (Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere) at the intersection of Eagle Lake Road and Park Road in the Township of Machar, on Thursday February 20, 2014.
At approximately 11:15 p.m. a black Chevrolet Silverado approached the R.I.D.E program and spoke to officer.
OPP subsequently arrested the driver for registering more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood.
The driver, Andrew PARKES (25) of Sundridge, Ontario was charged and later released from police custody with driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sundridge Ontario on Thursday, March 27, 2014.
