Yesterday just before noon, Mattawa OPP officers and the North East Region Community Street Crime Unit saw a vehicle traveling on Valois Drive in Mattawa.
Officers stopped it on John Street and as a result of a police investigation, officers arrested the male driver.
Police searched the vehicle and found a large quantity of marijuana along with a small amount of cash.
William Blackstock, 68, of West Nipissing, has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Under 3kg,
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
Blackstock was released on a recognizance with a date to attend court on October 3, in North Bay.
