STOP. Someone is stealing road signs

The approximate value of the missing signs is $1300.

Police are looking for someone who is starting a road sign collection, and they want it to STOP!

The Almaguin Highlands OPP investigated the theft of several road signs from Armour Township including Pickeral and Jack Lake Road near Berriedale Road, Nicolia Drive and Ely Side Road.

Other Signs went missing from North Pickerel Lake Road and Highway 11 from Katrine to Huntsville area.

The signs went missing between March 4, and March 26. 

Here are the missing signs:

  • A stop sign and the temporary stop sign that replaced it
  • A large “X” black and white for railway crossing
  • A deer crossing sign, rectangular and amber coloured with a black deer on it
  • A weight restriction sign 
  • A large checkerboard sign
  • Two OPP signs that directed a person to the detachment
  • A white Ministry of Transportation (MTO) sign

The approximate value of the missing signs is $1300.
