Family Day is a holiday for most, but there is still plenty to do in the North Bay area.

Our friends at Country 600 have compiled a list.

A free family film "Dora and the Lost City of Gold' is being shown at 2 p.m. this afternoon (Sunday) at The Capitol Centre.

Activities are lined up for tomorrow (Monday) at the North Bay YMCA. There's a couple of fitness swims and opens swims, family activities and gymnastics, swim sports, a bouncy castle and more. Admission is free with a donation to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign. A photo ID is required. The Y is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Family Day.

Meantime, the North Bay Museum will be open from 1-4 pm tomorrow. Admission is free, with donations collected for the North Bay Warming Centre. There will be activities connected to the museum's Science North THINK Hub like bridge and tower building, making musical instruments, and more. Visitors can also try shipwreck exhibit themed activities and complete the museum's scavenger hunt.

This is also a free fishing weekend (Feb 15-17) in Ontario. Canadian residents of all ages can enjoy fishing without having to purchase a licence or carry an Outdoors Card.
