A light dusting of snow may not be the best indication that Spring is here but today it officially is the start of the new season.
Weather Network Meteorologist Michael Carter told BayToday that we shouldn’t expect the cold to linger into the heart of the Spring.
“It’s probably going to be back and forth in the early part of the season, kind of a roller coaster through the month of March and early April,” said Carter.
“I think Spring is going to really finish strong and we are going to see more persistent milder than normal conditions building for the latter part of the season.”
The Spring forecast predicts that many Ontarians in the north and Great Lakes should be prepared for above average precipitation this spring.
“Not really so much that we are looking at a greater than normal number of storm systems but we expect that the storm systems that we do have will have more moisture to work with,” he said.
