Wintery weather continuing tonight.
A low pressure system will track over Northern Lake Huron this evening and reach Quebec Thursday morning.
Bands of snow associated with this system will continue this evening and begin to taper off overnight. Total snowfall amounts in the 10 to 15 cm range are likely.
Also, local blowing snow is possible as winds may gust to 50 km/h tonight.
In addition, as winds diminish tonight over areas near Lake Huron, local fog patches could develop.
Travellers should exercise caution as untreated roads may become slippery and visibilities may be reduced locally.

Wintery weather continuing today.
A low pressure system over the American central plains will track towards the Great Lakes through the night. Snow with this system has begun over areas near Lake Superior and will continue today.
Snow should taper off late in the day or this evening with total snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm to the northwest of Lake Superior, and 10 to 15 cm to the northeast of Lake Superior.
For Northeastern Ontario, snow will begin overnight and may become heavy at times today.
Snow should taper off Thursday with total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm. Also, winds will gust to 50 km/h today, causing reduced visibilities in blowing snow.
Additionally for areas along the north shore of Lake Huron, including Sault Ste Marie - St Joseph Island, there is a risk of freezing rain overnight and early this morning.
There is also a risk of freezing rain for North Bay - West Nipissing this afternoon.
The most likely area for freezing rain is Manitoulin Island this morning, where a freezing rain is in effect.
Travellers should use caution as untreated roads may become slippery from freezing rain and snow.

Wintery weather beginning tonight and continuing Wednesday.

Snow ahead of the system will begin over areas near Lake Superior this evening and continue into Wednesday. Snow should taper off Wednesday evening with total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm.
For Northeastern Ontario, snow will begin this evening and become heavy at times on Wednesday. Additionally, a band of freezing rain is possible ahead of the snow for areas along the north shore of Lake Huron.
Freezing rain is expected early Wednesday morning for Sault Ste Marie and will reach North Bay Wednesday afternoon.
A few hours of freezing rain are possible before changing to rain and then back to snow.
Snow should taper off Thursday with total snowfall amounts near 10 cm.
