An update for pharmacy and vision centre customers of the North Bay Walmart.

The Walmart Supercentre located at Northgate Shopping Centre remains closed for repairs and clean up of the damage resulting from a deliberately set fire and the resulting deployment of the sprinkler system in the store, last Friday.

Felicia Fefer, Manager of Corporate Affairs for Walmart Canada tells BayToday, "Our North Bay store remains closed due to arson. We know many in the community depend on the services provided by our Walmart Pharmacy and our Walmart Vision Centre so we have made special arrangements."

Fefer clarifies, pharmacy patients can have their prescriptions delivered or they can pick up and drop off prescriptions at the store. Customers can call (705) 472-4877.

For eyewear orders, customers can call the Vision Centre to arrange for pickup by appointment only. Customers can call (705) 472-1704.

North Bay Police and an investigator from the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office continue to investigate the origin of the fire and have asked the public for any information related to the arsonist.
