The Long Gun Registry will never come back under a Conservative Government: Minister Bergen
POWASSA - Minister of State Candice Bergen was in Powassan today alongside Conservative Candidate Jay Aspin at the Rockcut Shooting Club, speaking to voters about the elimination of the long gun registry.
She told the crowd: “Jay and I are here to remind voters that the Conservative Party is the party that eliminated the long gun registry and only a vote for Jay Aspin and the Conservative Party will ensure it never comes back. We are the only party that is standing up for law abiding gun owners.”
Conservative Candidate Jay Aspin noted: “Mr. Rota betrayed the trust of the constituents of Nipissing-Timiskaming by telling them he would eliminate the long gun registry but went to Ottawa and toed the Liberal Party line and voted to keep it. He betrayed voter’s trust once and he will do it again. When I was elected I went to Ottawa and voted to put an end to the long gun registry. I kept my word.”
