The Near North District School Board says that the following schools will be closed today, Wednesday, January 11, 2017, due to a loss of power:
- Almaguin Highlands Secondary School in South River,
- M.A. Wittick Public School in Burk's Falls,
- Magnetawan Central School in Magnetawan,
- Mapleridge Public School in Powassan,
- South River Public School in South River,
- South Shore Education Centre in Nipissing, and,
- Sundridge Centennial Public School in Sundridge.
School buses have also been cancelled.
