Jail guards were suspicious when a woman was visiting an inmate at the North Bay District Jail yesterday, having brought some clothing for a prisoner.

She had sewed approximately two grams of marijuana into the inside of a pair of jeans. Jail employees noticed it and turned it over to the North Bay Police.

As a result, 39-year-old Amanda Boucher of North Bay is charged with:

  • Trafficked Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marijuana.

Boucher was released on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking with a court date of October 31.
