Severe thunderstorm warning issued for:

  • North Bay - 
  • New Liskeard - Temagami, 
  • Burk's Falls - Bayfield Inlet,

Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and damaging hail.

Thunderstorms will affect the region early this evening. These thunderstorms will have the potential to produce damaging wind gusts as well as large hail.

The threat of severe weather will diminish later this evening.

Severe thunderstorm warning issued for:

  •  West Nipissing - French River, 
  •  Greater Sudbury and vicinity, Ont. (049100)

At 6:57 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.

A north to south line of severe thunderstorms from Sudbury to the eastern end of Manitoulin Island is moving east at 70 km/h. Wind gusts to 100 km/h are possible. Hail is also a threat.

Locations impacted include:
Sudbury, Killarney, Britt and West Nipissing.
