This line of severe thunderstorms is located from 14 kilometres northeast of South River
lightning

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for:

  •    South River - Burk's Falls,
  •    Huntsville - Baysville,


At 1:46 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts and up to nickel size hail.

This line of severe thunderstorms is located from 14 kilometres northeast of South River to 10 kilometres south of MacTier to 10 kilometres northeast of Blyth, moving east at 70 km/h. 

Communities in the path include:
Mount Forest, Orangeville, New Tecumseth, Barrie, Orillia, Listowel, Durham, Elmira, Arthur, Dundalk, Fergus, Grand Valley, Collingwood, Shelburne, Erin, Midland, Caledon, Bradford, Innisfil and Gravenhurst.

Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
