Vandalism highlights the Almaguin OPP report this week as a pair of actions have police shaking their heads.

On Monday July 17, police investigated a break enter and mischief to the Children's Centre on Highway 592.

Sometime between Friday July 14, and Monday July 17, someone entered the building and damaged a door and a glass window. Once inside the building, suspects emptied a fire extinguisher throughout leaving a mess before leaving.

That same day police investigated a break enter and mischief to the Doe Lake Park.

The damage was done sometime on July 13. Someone entered a storage room at the washroom facility located at the park. Suspects stole a box of toilet paper; some paint thinner, a broom, and floor wax.

Vandals left the toilet paper strewn all over the park, items had been lit on fire and some floor wax had been put down the toilets.

Meanwhile OPP investigated several thefts in the Kearney and Emsdale areas that occurred sometime overnight from July 19, and July 20.

Thieves entered two business and several cars and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police are still investigating and anyone with information regarding the people responsible should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.
