Senior fights back during attempted robbery

Two men are being sought by the North Bay Police Service following an attempted robbery early Tuesday morning.

A man in his late 60s was walking along Algonquin Avenue near Oakwood Avenue between 1:30 AM and 2 AM when two males accosted him.

They allegedly asked him for his wallet and when he refused they began striking and kicking him to the ground.

The man fought back and may have injured one of the young men in the knee. He suffered a cut to his hand, abrasions to his face and to his eye. The attackers are described as: white males, approximately 6’ tall and about 25 years old. One had blonde hair almost to his shoulders and the other wore a plain dark toque.
