The North Bay Literacy Council will be hosting a Scrabble challenge at Northgate Square outside Roots, Saturday April 17 and Sunday, April 18, from 10 am until 3 pm each day to raise awareness and promote literacy in the community.

The community is invited to come and play a game or two of Scrabble just for the fun of it, with 12 Scrabble boards to choose from!

Participants can enter to win one of the Scrabble games or the deluxe edition game generously donated by Hasbro Canada.

Local celebrities, community leaders and local media personalities will be participating so come out and watch, cheer or challenge.

We are very sorry to announce that due to lack of registrations this year the school Scrabble challenge will not take place. Students are still welcome to come and play for fun.

Come and play, bring a friend and help us promote adult literacy in North Bay.
