We all know that our northern highways can be dangerous places with wildlife crossings.

But we've not heard of this before...one moose causing two different accidents.

On June 12, just after 10 p.m., Temiskaming OPP officers were dispatched to Highway 11 just south of Temagami for a collision involving a van and a moose. There were no injuries reported.

"As officers were arriving on the scene, another collision occurred involving a motorcycle and the same moose," reports Constable Alexandra Jackson. "The District of Timiskaming Emergency Medical Services transported the 67-year-old driver of Larder Lake to the hospital. The driver sustained major but non-life threatening injuries."
