Rota off for NATO meeting in Brussels

"On a local level, I have the ability to identify the opportunities that could apply to CFB North Bay and help ensure its viability."
Rota, Anthony turl 2016

MP Anthony Rota will be part of the Canadian NATO Parliamentary delegation attending a Joint Committee meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Brussels, Belgium February 12 to 14.

The annual Joint Committee meeting provides delegates with an update on NATO's activities and operations in sessions lead by senior bureaucrats and military officers working at NATO headquarters.

Prior to the Joint Committee meeting, NATO Ministers of Defence, represented by Canadian Minister of Defence Harjit Sajjan, will meet to discuss topics that will include the changing security environment NATO is facing in such areas as Russia and Iraq and the ongoing threat of ISIS in Syria.

"By meeting at NATO headquarters, we are better able to address the challenges that Canada and its Allies face on the global stage," said Rota. "On a local level, I have the ability to identify the opportunities that could apply to CFB North Bay and help insure its viability."
