Rocktoberfest returns

Rocktoberfest, a full day of food, drink, and live local music

Rocktoberfest is back for its second year and will be celebrated in the heart of downtown North Bay this Saturday.

Rocktoberfest, a full day of food, drink, and live local music will rock the downtown on Main Street between Fraser and Ferguson.

North Bay Real Estate Board organizers call it "a northern spin on the famous German celebration."

The event will run on Saturday, September 22nd, from 2 – 10 p.m.

Main St. will be closed to traffic but instead will be loaded with outdoor vendors and a music stage, highlighting local artists and a kid-friendly playground with Ukulele lessons provided by Compass Music Academy. There will also be a fun playhouse for kids installed by Pascoe Rentals & Events. Food and drinks are being taken care of by a variety of independent local restaurants including Greco’s Algonquin and Beaver Tails.

Northern Ontario musicians include:

  • Groove,
  • Cliche Collective,
  • White Coals,
  • and headliners Main Street Echo.

The festival is free and there will be a Beer Garden.

Beer and Wine tokens are $2 a piece and the mandatory ‘Age of Majority’ wristband is available for $5.

There will be a collection box for non-perishable food items.
