The North Bay Real Estate Board and its partners are building on the success of Rocktoberfest by rebranding and moving the event up a month.
Bay Block Party will be held on Saturday, August 10, in the heart of downtown North Bay.
The revamped festival aims to expand and showcase the best of North Bay’s downtown, and part of that strategy is a collaboration with local community groups.
The Downtown Improvement Area will be introducing FoodFest to complement Bay Block Party.
The headlining band for Bay Block Party is Juno Award-winning artist The Dirty Nil.
The Dirty Nil is a Canadian alternative rock band from Hamilton who won the Juno Award for "Breakthrough Group of the Year" at the Juno Awards in 2017. They are currently touring to support their 2018 Studio Album 'Master Volume', with Tokyo Police Club.
"We’re excited to build on the success of the previous year's event of Rocktoberfest and continue to give back to the community by providing an all ages event,” said NBREB Committee Chair, Ryan Humble.
This free entry, single day event will take place on Main Street between Wyld and Fraser Street. The festival will host a fully staged performance area, with musical acts scheduled throughout the day, craft beer vendors and family-friendly activities organized by the North Bay Real Estate Board
