RIDE stop leads to two impaired charges

The North Bay Ontario Police (OPP) continues to be vigilant in Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) efforts throughout the year.

On February 16, 2014, members of the North Bay Detachment (OPP) were conducting R.I.D.E. on Highway 94 with the following results.

At approximately 1:27 a.m., police checked the status of an approaching driver.   

Further investigation resulted in a charge.  Joel KEBA, 41, of Cambridge has been charged with Over 80 – section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

At approximately 3:16 a.m., police checked the status on a driver approaching the R.I.D.E. check which lead to another driver, Kyle GILLIES, 23, of North Bay being charged with Over 80-section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
