The Near North District School Board is conducting an accommodation review of schools in the North Bay Planning Area including E.T. Carmichael, E.W. Norman and W.J Fricker public schools and Chippewa, West Ferris and Widdifield secondary schools.

This month, an accommodation review committee (ARC) is being formed.

Principals at affected schools are assisting their school advisory councils to identify two parent representatives from each school to serve on the ARC committee.  Secondary principals are also assisting student councils at their school to identify one senior student representative from each school.

The Board is seeking candidates who are interested in serving as the independent community representative on the North Bay Planning Area ARC.  One individual will be selected based on their qualifications, knowledge of issues related to public education, knowledge of the community and municipal/business/community involvement.

Interested applicants can send a letter of interest to [email protected] or to 963 Airport Road, North Bay, Ontario, P1B 8H1 by Tuesday, January 24, 2017.
