You might have got a bit of a shock this morning, waking up and looking out the window.

North Bay got its first substantial snowfall yesterday evening but it won't last.

Environment Canada says it will be mainly sunny today with temps rising to plus 6.

Tomorrow will see the mercury rise to 14 with a mix of sun and cloud. The usual high is 7 with the record of 19 set in 1989.

Things look good for the kids on Halloween with a high of 6 with a mix of sun and cloud. The sun will set just after 6 p.m.

"Monday during the day should be pretty nice, but there's some shower systems that may move through the area in the evening," said meteorologist Brad Rousseau.

"It shouldn't be a heavy downpour, just some spotty showers off and on so it's a good idea to bring a parka or a rain coat just to be safe.

"It's slightly above the norm for this time of year," said Rousseau. "There will be a southeasterly breeze as well."
