Edited to include updated information about the bus route number and day of travel:

Officials at Public Health Sudbury are working to track down a possible COVID-19 exposure that might have occurred on Ontario Northland bus No. 2106 and bus No. 5401 that was travelling from Toronto's Union Station at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13.

The bus was travelling to North Bay with transfer service to Sudbury, said a news release from Ontario Northland.

PHSD has prescribed actions to take for anyone who was on those routes:

-Self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from potential exposure.

-Self-isolate immediately if you have any common symptoms, such as a new cough, shortness of breath, a fever, chills, headache, body aches, stomach aches.

-Seek COVID-19 testing if symptoms occur.

PHSD also advises that if necessary, COVID-19 testing appointments can be arranged through the Health Sciences North Assessment Centre: the preferred option is to request an appointment online (Health Sciences North) https://secure.hsnsudbury.ca/COVID19AppointmentRequest or call 705.671.7373 during regular business hours.

PHSD is reminding everyone to follow public health measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 including the more transmissible variants of concern. The safest options are to limit close contact to your own household members, stay home and do not attend work or school when ill, avoid non-essential travel, and remember to practise physical distancing, wear your mask, and wash your hands. For all outings, continue to screen yourself for symptoms and practise COVID-safe behaviours.
