Promotions at North Bay Police Service

A number of officers have received promotions at the North Bay Police Service.

At a small, social distanced badge presentation ceremony on Friday October 2, Chief Scott Tod recognized officers that had been recently promoted.

  • Jeff Warner, a member of the police service for 22 years, was promoted to the rank of Inspector and will take over duties as the Inspector of Operations.
  • Jody DeHaas, a member for 23 years, was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant and will be the officer in charge of Platoon Two.
  • Helene Boissonneault, a 20-year member has been promoted to Sergeant and is assigned as the Quality Assurance Officer.
  • Aaron Northrup, a 19-year member, has been promoted to Sergeant and has taken on the role of Training and Community programs.

Two members recently promoted and not able to attend the ceremony were Sergeant Greg McClenaghan who has been assigned to the Traffic Section and Staff Sergeant Paul Brewer who is the officer in charge of Platoon Three.

“The newly promoted members of the North Bay Police Service have been selected based on their competency and dedication to the values of the North Bay Police Service and our mission to be accountable and transparent in our service," said Chief Tod: "Respect, honesty and fairness are the values we instill in our members.  Our new Sergeants, Staff Sergeants and Inspector will help us achieve the public trust and confidence needed to be an effective police service.”
