Tomorrow's Pride March down Main St. will end with a free picnic at the waterfront.

The picnic is being put on by the North Bay and District Labour Council.

"In Canada, unions have played a crucial role in challenging homophobia and transphobia, and building workplaces and communities that are inclusive and supportive of LGBTQ2SI people and families," says a Council news release.

“We’ve been hosting a very successful Labour Day BBQ picnics for over a decade, so it makes perfect sense that we throw a picnic party for North Bay Pride,” says Henri Giroux, North Bay and District Labour Council president. “On Saturday after the Pride March, the Labour Council will host a family-friendly BBQ picnic at the waterfront, with free hamburgers, hotdogs, and pop for everyone,” says Giroux.

The parade starts at City Hall, then down Wyld to Main and from there to the waterfront. Start time is 11 a.m.
