PPC candidate Mark King opens campaign office in North Bay

'One of the real serious issues that we’re facing is the huge amount of money that is leaving the country to third world countries' Mark King, Nipissing-Timiskaming PPC candidate

People’s Party of Canada candidate for Nipissing-Timiskaming, Mark King, officially opened his campaign headquarters in North Bay Monday morning.

The office is located on Airport Road beside ServiceOntario.

King said some of the issues his party is prepared to tackle are taxation, job creation, the environment and ending corporate welfare.

The PPC candidate said reducing immigration numbers of prior levels is “paramount.”

On the issue of foreign policy, King said Canada needs to stop sending billions of dollars overseas.

“One of the real serious issues that we’re facing is the huge amount of money that is leaving the country to third world countries. We know right now that in Africa, there is something like $2.3 billion leaving the country for development there, in those countries, but we’re not looking after our own.”

King is running against Liberal Anthony Rota, Conservative Jordy Carr, Rob Boulet of the NDP and Alex Gomm representing the Green Party.

Federal election day is Monday, October 21st.
