Today, Echoes Restaurant in Powassan, located at 522 Main Street, is hosting a lunch in support of the Mark Hogan.

Hogan, 35-year-old father of three, broke his neck in three places after hitting a patch of black ice on Highway 11 at the Lakeshore Drive merge and rolled his vehicle February 11th.

Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., the restaurant is offering a choice of a burger, fries and a drink for $6, or a hot dog, fries and a drink for $5.

“Everything has been donated, so all of the proceeds are going to him,” said Hogan Stillar, who is hosting a silent auction at her business, Powassan Hairstyling, which located at 512 Main Street.

The items are available to be bid on now with the winners announced at 4 p.m.

Among the donated auction items are Blue Jays tickets, a Tim Hortons gift basket valued at $100, and a men’s watch valued at $150.

“We don’t have a fundraising goal yet,” said Hogan Stillar. “We’re just trying to raise as much as we can.”

A trust has also been set up at Scotiabank. Donations can be made at any Scotiabank branch to account number 5087 2017 5986.
