A 45-year-old Powassan man is facing multiple charges in connection to a November 7th complaint of a domestic dispute in the Municipality of Powassan.
The Powassan OPP along with members of the North Bay OPP attended the scene.
On November 7, 2018, officers from the Powassan Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint of a domestic dispute in the Municipality of Powassan, Ontario.
Police say a search of the residence resulted in police locating a firearm and drugs suspected to be methamphetamine and cocaine.
A 45-year-old male from the Municipality of Powassan, Ontario, has been arrested and charged with the following:

Assault contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code (CC);

Assault Causing Bodily Harm contrary to section 267(b) of the CC;

Mischief contrary to section 430(1)(a) of the CC;

Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm contrary to section 91(1) of the CC;

Careless Storage of a Firearm contrary to section 86(1) of the CC;

Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA); and
-
Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Cocaine contrary to section 4(1) of the (CDSA).
The accused was being held pending bail and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay, Ontario, on Thursday.
