Free range chickens, the first comic panel released by the Game of Things creators.

The developers of the Game of Things are hoping to bring some weekly 'comic' relief.

One of the owners of the party game, North Bay's Mark Sherry says they are launching a weekly comic panel based on the topic cards in the game developed here in North Bay.

Sherry says he always wanted to make a comic about the game and when he found out developer Brandon Hobbs was a talented comic artist, they collectively felt the comic idea was a perfect fit.

Mark Sherry and his son Steven then came up with some ideas for Brandon to draw to see if it made sense.

“Once we saw the first few drawings we knew we were on to something.  It fits in well with our company mission which is to make people laugh.

"We try to encapsulate in an image, a response to The Game of Things, take something that we think is funny visually and come up with a caption around the topic,” said Sherry.

The Game of Things has come a long way since it launched in North Bay.  Sherry says the game has sold almost 3.5 million copies in Canada and the US and has just expanded to the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

There are currently have four versions of the game on sale.   Q&S are about to launch a mobile beta version of the game in the fall of 2018, and many more interesting versions are in the works.

Sherry says the comic panel will be released on their social media channels (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) each Wednesday.
