Popular Blues Cruise sold out

Tickets for the other events taking place as part of 2022 Bluesfest are still available. The event will go on rain or shine

If you waited to get tickets to the Capitol Centre's Blues Cruise, the bad news is it's sold out. The good news is that a pair of tickets will be up for grabs as part of a new social media contest on its Facebook and Instagram pages.

Tickets for the other events taking place as part of 2022 Bluesfest are still available. The event will go on rain or shine.

Saturday’s Sept. 3 lineup includes:

4pm – 4:45pm – Paul Cafcae

5pm – 5:45pm – Al Lerman

6pm – 6:45pm  - Justin Saladino Band

7pm – 7:45pm – Angel Forrest

Sunday’s lineup includes:

2pm – 2:45pm – Yer Blues

3pm – 3:45pm – David Laronde

4pm – 4:45pm  - Whiskey River Blues Band

5pm – 5:45pm – The Jesse Thomas Band

6pm – 7pm – Ben Racine Band

7:15 – 8:30pm – HEADLINE ACT David Gogo

Tickets are on a pay-what-you-can basis and can be purchased here or at the Redpath Box Office located at the front side of the Capitol Centre facing Main St.- or by phone- (705) 474-4747- Tuesday through Friday, noon - 4 p.m.

The Downchild Blues Band show is part of the 2022 Bluesfest lineup as a way of kicking off the festival on Thursday, Sept. 1.

Also returning is the "Clash of the Canvas" event Thursday,

"Come and watch as competing artists transform blank canvases into beautiful pieces of art in just 20 minutes," explains Kerri Morin, Marketing Manager. "The audience has the power to decide who will move on to the second round, and then who will be crowned the new Clash of the Canvas Champion."

The winner will earn a solo exhibition during next year's Bluesfest 2023. This year will showcase the 2021 Champion Rana Thomas' artwork in Gallery One. 

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here or at the Redpath Box Office.
