It may not be Popeye's favourite food, but Popeyes Chicken is hoping to open its doors to its new North Bay Restaurant in late September, BayToday has learned.
Officials with the restaurant say the new location will open on September 28, 2022.
The Popeyes Chicken restaurant is located along Lakeshore Drive near the North Bay Mall. There are a number of other new eating establishments connected to the newly constructed building including a new Burger King restaurant.

Popeyes Chicken got its start in Louisiana in 1972 and eventually expanded to Toronto in 1984.
In 2019, Popeyes Chicken celebrated opening its 200th store in Canada.
