Police search Temiscaming home relating to Joly-Durocher case

The North Bay Police in conjunction with the assistance from two Quebec-based police services were in Temiscaming, Quebec on Monday searching for leads connected to the ongoing Luke Joly-Durocher missing persons case.  

"On June 13, 2022, members of the North Bay Police Service, assisted by members of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal and Sureté Du Québec, conducted an investigation at a residence in Temiscaming, Quebec, as part of the ongoing investigation into the 2011 disappearance of Luke Joly-Durocher," said David Woolley, corporate communications officer with the North Bay Police Service.  

"As this is an active investigation, we cannot provide further details at this time."

On March 4, 2011, Joly's son, Luke Joly-Durocher, a 20-year-old from Témiscaming was in North Bay to visit with friends and was staying on Sherbrooke Street in North Bay. 

The friends consumed alcohol prior to going to a bar where Luke was refused entry. Luke then visited a second bar on Delaware Street where he was last seen alive. Family members reported Luke missing on March 7, 2011.

A reward of $50,000 remains in place for anyone with information on Luke’s whereabouts.

The case has also garnered attention from Ellen White, a private investigator with Pulse Private Investigations based out of Barrie as well as the Owen Sound based Please Bring Me Home, an organization with a stated mission to solicit anonymous tips regarding cold case missing persons across Canada to find the missing and bring them home to their family and friends.
