Police require public assistance in two unrelated thefts

(Powassan, ON) Powassan OPP require public assistance regarding two thefts that occurred in the area within the last two months.

Some time between Wednesday June 29 and Thursday July 6, someone made off with two baseball bats; a two-piece Demarini orange and black bat worth $400 and an aluminum TPS brand worth $100. The baseball bats were stolen from the Powassan Ball Field on Main Street.

A wood splitter was taken from a wood lot off of the King Side Road, Nipissing Township. This occurred between Tuesday July 19 and Thursday July 21.
