Police have released video footage of the suspect of the robbery that occurred at 8:30 pm on Wednesday night, May 13.

At that time Police responded to an apartment building in the 2400 block of Trout Lake Road in where the suspect used a handgun robbing the victim of several bank cards and prescription medication. The victim was not physically harmed.

A female resident of the apartment building answered a knock on her door, thinking it was a personal support worker.

She let the person into her apartment, but once inside the robber pointed a black handgun at the victim and demanded she turn over her purse and medications. The victim turned over the items and the thief fled the apartment building on foot heading toward Connaught Avenue.

Police say they have received calls from members of the public supplying information on this ongoing investigation however they have not identified the suspect thus far.

The lead investigator, Detective Constable Jackson says, “The release of this video should provide enough information for someone to identify the responsible person and resolve this investigation.

“The suspect had a black handgun and should not be approached.” If you know the identity of this person you should contact Detective Constable Jackson by calling the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555.
