An escaped Psychiatric patient described as dangerous is still eluding Police and Authorities at this hour. At Noon today the 31 year old male fled from the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital.

At Noon today the 31 year old male fled from the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital. The Patient has been diagnosed as suicidal, homicidal and acutely psychotic. Authorities say he is to be considered dangerous.

The patient who is as 5 ft 6 inches, stocky build with a dark military style hair cut was last seen at 1:30 pm today wearing a black dress jacket, blue jeans and sandals.

Staff Sergeant Ted Whittle of the North Bay Police Service told BayToday.ca that they believe the subject is still in bush area around the hospital and hope to have the patient back in care before nightfall. Whittle also said several units are searching in the area as well as a police helicopter and a dog unit.

Anyone who sees someone fitting the is description is requested to call the local police service immediately.
