If you see an increased police presence along the waterfront in the area of the Boat Restaurant tomorrow, don't worry....it's a training exercise.
The North Bay police Emergency Response Team will be conducting training exercises in the area between 8 a.m. and noon on Friday.
"The training will not result in the closure of any streets," says a release. "Members of the public can continue to access the waterfront as they normally would, with the exception of a delineated area around the Boat Restaurant."
The North Bay Police Service’s Emergency Response Team utilizes specialized skills, tactics, and equipment, to protect public safety and respond to unpredictable situations. The North Bay Police Service’s ERT consists of 12 officers who receive regular training to effectively respond to all manner of high-risk incidents.
