Police block off Chippewa and Fraser due to major police investigation

'We ask that the public avoid the area for the remainder of the day'

A portion of Chippewa Street and Fraser Street is taped off as police are conducting an investigation in front of a home on Fraser Street near the YMCA.  

The North Bay Police are not providing any more information at this time.  

"The North Bay Police Service has closed Chippewa Street and Fraser Street due to an ongoing investigation," the North Bay Police Stated via social media Sunday morning. 

"We ask that the public avoid the area for the remainder of the day." 

The Police however insist there is no threat to the public. Witnesses claim as many as 7 or 8 police vehicles can be seen in the area.
