Cool rainy weather couldn’t keep man’s best friend from showing up to the Kiwanis Picnic Shelter in Lee Park to go walkies for a good cause Saturday morning.
It was Paws-demonium as the dogs and their owners registered for the North Bay and District Humane Society’s 13th Annual Paws-A-Thon.
The parade of pets wound down the Waterfront and then back to the shelter for lunch, demonstrations, prizes and a portrait.
The official total of dollars raised for this years event is $16,300, and organisers say it was a banner year.
