North Bay police, in a tweet, said what began as a calm encounter last night quickly escalated when a mental health patient at the hospital grabbed an officer's gun while in its holster.
The officer maintained control of the weapon, and the patient was secured.
"Charges pending. No injuries," says the tweet.
