Police have laid numerous charges after a weekend party turned violent.
Special Constable John Schultz says police were called to the downtown party yesterday where they learned the host had confronted a woman about a theft he had witnessed.
She grabbed a knife and slashed the man, then fled the residence when the victim called police.
The victim required medical attention for a non-life threatening injury.
Police found the attacker a short distance from the residence arrested her.
Charged is Sarah Madsen, 28, of North Bay with:
- Aggravated Assault;
- Assault with a Weapon;
- Theft Under $5,000; and
- Breach of probation.
She is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
