Pair of lockdown-live-shows coming to Capitol Centre

'This winter has been a tough go, so we are bringing more positive distractions to help everyone get through these last few weeks of Stay Home orders'

These final weeks of Ontario's Stay Home order may be easier as The Capitol Centre introduces LOCKDOWN LIVE SHOWS online.

Two new shows will feature live-streamed free performances from the artists' home studios to the Capitol Centre's Facebook page.

May 6 introduces Canadian talent Dan Kosub, a roots singer/songwriter at heart who has been compared to every road-dog troubadour from Cat Stevens, to Jason Aldean, to John Mayer.

"Though Dan has been performing for over a decade, in 2017 he invested in a studio and released his first self-produced record, taking his music in a country-fried direction, with the lead single “Rocks & Gravel” says a news release.

Kosub will live stream from his home studio to the Capitol Centre's Facebook page on May 6 beginning at 8 p.m.

May 20 at 8 p.m. showcases the one-woman musical theatre review/cabaret showcase with one of Canada's veteran musical theatre stars,Heather McGuigan. She will perform a cabaret of songs filled with joy, emotion and love for the theatre.

Because the show will be live-streamed on the Capitol Centre's Facebook page,  she plans to live-chat and answer questions about the theatre industry and how artists have survived and thrived thus far.

"This winter has been a tough go, so we are bringing more positive distractions to help everyone get through these last few weeks of Stay Home orders.  said Dan Misturada, Executive Director. "May 6th and May 20th will bring you folk/country music and musical theatre performances,  streamed live to our Facebook page."
