Over 15 pounds of cannabis marijuana seized

On Wednesday, the  OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, North Bay Drug Unit, supported by OPP Temiskaming Shores Detachment, executed a search warrant at a home in New Liskeard.

One young woman and two adults have been arrested. 

Police seized over 15 pounds of cannabis marijuana, and a large sum of currency.  The estimated street value of the drugs is $70,240.

A 17 year-old female from Cobalt is charged with:

  • Possession of Cannabis Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking 

She has been released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on April 12.

Steven Larson, 24, of Cobalt is charged with:

  • Possession of Cannabis Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking 
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order 

Shane Vandenhoogen, 20, of New Liskeard is charged with:

  • Possession of Cannabis Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking –  (3 counts)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime  
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime 

Larson and Vandenhoogen have been released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on March 22.
