For the second time in the last two days Canadians have had to dig a little deeper in their pockets to scrape extra pennies together when facing the pumps.

Prices jumped 20-cents on Thursday, hitting motorists where it hurts, the wallet, but just as we head into the long weekend the pumps took another leap and jumped another 20-cents.

Cab companies will be heading to the Police Services Board to ask for the ability to increase fares to offset the cost, while motorists are looking at alternative measures such as taking transit, riding their bikes and walking.

With angry calls from constituents asking for the Gas tax to be lowered, the government may have to seriously start investing in alternative fuel sources.

For gas stations, like the Petro Canada on Algonquin Ave. today, they may just see a few less cars at the pumps
